Dr Shikha Merchia, Diplomate of American Board of Lifestyle Medicine

Shikha Merchia, MD, FACP, diplABLM is Board Certified by the American College of Physicians and a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She provides primary care / Internal Medicine, with a focus on Lifestyle Medicine and obesity Medicine.

She has been practicing Internal Medicine and primary care since 1998. Her clinical interests include management of obesity and its related conditions and utilizing lifestyle changes to accomplish this. In furthering these interests, she recently became Board certified in Lifestyle Medicine.

She has completed a Plant Based Nutrition certificate from eCornell Center for Nutrition Studies with Dr. T. Colin Campbell. She has completed Harvard Medical School’s Culinary Health Education Fundamentals (CHEF) Coaching an evidence-based program focused on culinary coaching-–a novel approach to improve nutrition that combines culinary training, health coaching principles, and telemedicine tools and resources. She has also done the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) a powerful disease reversal solution. It disrupts rising chronic disease rates and has driven positive health outcomes for tens of thousands of participants nationwide. This proven approach enables participants to make fundamental lifestyle changes and lowers key risk factors within 12 weeks.

Dr. Merchia is a lifelong vegetarian and has started a plant-based diet for the past 9 months. She has a keen interest in cooking and creating recipes. One of her recipes was featured in the CHEF coaching Newsletter of the institute of lifestyle medicine at Harvard Medical School. Her inspiration for creating recipes comes from her parents, who have been collecting and experimenting with recipes since she was little.

Vikas Merchia, MD, FACOG, FPMRS, diplABLM is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in both general Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). He is a recent Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. He practices in the South Shore of Boston in Brockton Massachusetts. He has his own private practice called ESP Medical LLC.

He founded ESP Medical in 2011 to provide the best possible care to his patients. Seeing his patients suffering from multiple medical conditions, being on long list of medications with their inherent side effects he was inspired to help them improve their quality and longevity of life. Mr. Amit Akkad is an Experienced Global Services Executive, currently working as VP of Operations at Ava Robotics with proven track record of growing profitable service revenues with excellent customer satisfaction. Recognized as an IT services expert. A leader with excellent strategic, analytical, communications and operational skills.
Mr. Akkad is Director of ICC and Lifestyle Ambassador serving community over the past couple of years. He also works with multiple organizations to educate and inspire children of rural communities (Adivasi) in India for past few years.
