DESCRIPTION:Evidence has shown that we\, South Asians face a disproportionate burden of chronic illnesses of Heart Disease and Diabetes.  This chronic illness and their impact could be described as “Our genes load the gun\, and our lifestyle pulls the trigger“. \n  \nAs we look around our circle of family and friends\, most of us have a personal experience and are touched by these chronic illnesses and their severe impact.  Those of us who may be affected by these conditions may already be receiving their health care from a competent medical team.  Besides medical care\, these risks can be reduced and conditions can be improved by Lifestyle changes.  Lifestyle changes can also be implemented as a preventative measure to avoid future problems and the onset of these illnesses. \n  \nDate / Time:  Sunday\, January 3rd\, 2021 at 10:00 AM EST – 90-minute presentations including Q&A \nPresenters:     Mr. Amit Akkad\, Lifestyle Ambassador and Director of ICC \n                        Mr. Girish Mehta\, Founder & Exec. He is a recognized business leader with excellent strategic\, analytical\, communications\, and operational skills. He is currently associated with a start-up company in robotics. \nAmit is serving the community over the past three years through ICC.  He has also been working with multiple NGOs to educate and inspire children of rural (Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) communities in India for the past several years. \n  \nMr. Girish Mehta is an experienced business professional who founded Indian Circle for Caring USA\, Inc. in 2013 to help fellow community members in need of Health Care\, Medical\, Death and Bereavement support either on a planned basis or emergency needs. His passion and leadership have had a huge impact on the Indian community in the USA and India. ICC has served over 1000 families\, worked with many regional and national organizations to serve our fellow community members in need.
