Indian Circle for Caring (ICC) will be present at and hold sessions for all attendees on two very important topics at the 8th Annual Indian and South Asian Health Expo on April 10th at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

  • Elder Care by Mr. Girish Mehta, Founder and Executive Director of ICC
  • Lifestyle Program to prevent/reverse heart disease and diabetes by Mr. Amit Akkad, Lifestyle Program Ambassador and Director of ICC

The day-long Expo will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is free to all attendees, but registration is required. To register for free, please click here.

Meet the subject matter experts at our table at the expo and ask us about ICC’s three initiatives

  • Family Support Services
  • Planning for Critical Life Events – such as advanced health care directive, retirement planning etc
  • ICC’s latest initiative – Lifestyle program – to help community members prevent or even reverse heart disease and diabetes

Don’t miss the two very important and educational talks at the Expo

Elder Care

Elder Care topic will cover several important areas that we all should be aware of and be prepared for

  • What is it, why it is needed?
  • Understand and use Current and emerging technology and care models
  • How can financial impact be minimized?
  • What tools and solutions are available to you as a care giver or care receiver?

You can learn more about what will be covered in the Elder Care topic in this short interview/discussion between Mr. Upendra Mishra (INE) and Mr. Girish Mehta. Click here to listen to the interview.

ICC’s Lifestyle Program

Second session will focus on the twin epidemic of heart disease and diabetes that affects Indians and South Asians disproportionately (3X more for heart disease and 4X more for diabetes) compared to the rest of the world population. ICC has partnered with South Asian Heart Center to bring a comprehensive, evidence based, culturally tailored and actionable Lifestyle program to mitigate these risks.

Over the last 12 years, 9,000+ Indians from all over USA have benefited from this program. ICC is pleased to report that through its efforts in last 2 years, 120+ Indians from New England have already joined and benefited from this program.

“ICC is excited to present this program to the Indian community at the INE Health Expo 2022. Please, come and join us to learn more about this lifestyle program to live a longer and healthier life,” said Mr. Amit Akkad.

“The support, follow-up and communications from the coach is unparalleled” – NE Participant

The program will cover

  • How the twin epidemic of heart disease and diabetes affects Indians and South Asians disproportionately
  • Learn how South Asian Heart Center’s culturally tailored AIM to PreventTM program can help you prevent or even reverse these chronic diseases
  • Evidence and Benefits of joining this program

We are looking forward to seeing you at the 8th Annual Indian and South Asian Health Expo on April 10th at Burlington Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA.

The day-long Expo will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and is free to all attendees, but registration is required. To register for free, please click here.
