Patel, Jayanti

Jayanti Patel is a Director for ICC focused on recruiting volunteers for ICC. He has been involved with ICC from its beginning in August 2007 and over the years has made many contributions — serving ICC clients, helping with community outreach efforts, being an advocate for ICC and its mission as well as helping with program and projects. He is an exemplary volunteer and a leader for the organization. He is always ready to help a person in need!

Professional background

His professional career included his role as a Bank Manager, and started few businesses, such as construction, travel agency etc. He moved to the US in 1991, and like his life in India, he worked as a sales agent for Radio Shack, and started several small family-owned businesses. Currently he is retired from business and professional life and now focuses on supporting family and serving the community.

Community service

In addition to ICC, he is a cofounder and on Executive Committee of Friends of Indian Senior Citizens (FISCO) in Burlington, Massachusetts. At FISCO, he co-organizes weekly lunches, summer trips and annual events. He is active in variety of other social and religious organizations.

Personal, Hobbies and other interests

Jayantibhai (as he is fondly called) grew up in Ahmedabad. He lives with his wife Bharti Patel, daughter Sejal, son in law Jigar and two grandchildren in Lexington, Massachusetts. Throughout his life, he has always helped others in various capacities, and loves to travel.

Education

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
