Gandhi, Raman
Raman Gandhi is Director at ICC, focusing on the family support services initiative that ICC was founded on. Raman actively provides support to ICC clients and their families in need of emergency support. He partnered with Krishna Kalghatgi to develop a Funeral Services Guide for our community members.
Professional background
Raman Gandhi worked for Caterpillar Inc, Peoria, IL for many years in various positions at various plants. He retired from Caterpillar as a Senior Project Team Leader in 2013 and moved to Massachusetts. Prior to Caterpillar, Raman worked for EMCO Transformers Limited, Thane, India.
Community service
Raman has a keen interest in helping community members and has been actively volunteering in several organizations.
He has been volunteering since 2014 for Friends of Indian Senior Citizens Organization (FISCO) Burlington, MA and currently serves as President. The organization has 185 active families as members.
While in Peoria, Raman volunteered and helped in building Hindu Temple of Central Illinois (in Peoria) as well as organized Gujarati Samaj of Central Illinois in Peoria
Volunteer at Indian Circle for Caring (ICC) – A nonprofit Organization with a mission to support Indian Community when in need of family emergency from medical to final rites. Developed a Funeral Services Guide with Krishna Kalghatki.
Personal, Hobbies and other interests
Raman’s interests and hobbies are wide ranging from reading spiritual literature of ancient India to reading corporate culture and CEOs behavior for Investments.
Travelling, playing cards and gardening are his other interests that keep him busy when he is not volunteering.
Education
Raman Gandhi has a BS in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from Bombay University (Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, fondly called VJTI). He did his pre-engineering from KC College of Science in Bombay.
